We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead backend architecture and system design, driving new systems that support critical customer-facing features. This role involves taking ownership of the backend roadmap, making technical decisions, and ensuring seamless coordination across teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead backend architecture and system design initiatives.
  • Own the backend roadmap and drive technical decisions.
  • Optimize existing systems for performance, reliability, and cost.
  • Set engineering standards and lead design reviews.
  • Manage technical roadmaps and larger scope problems.
  • Make technical recommendations to improve the codebase.
  • Coordinate communication across engineering, product, and design teams.
  • Leverage AI coding tools to enhance development velocity.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, especially in backend/distributed systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Go, Python, Ruby, or similar backend languages/frameworks.
  • Experience designing, building, and scaling distributed systems.
  • Proficient with AI-assisted development tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
