The Data Center Operations Technician is responsible for executing remote hands services and customer support tasks, ensuring optimal performance and connectivity in mission-critical environments. This role involves hands-on experience in data center operations, structured cabling, and IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute remote hands services including reboots, media swaps, and inspections.
  • Install, test, label, and maintain copper and fiber cabling, patch panels, and cross-connects.
  • Provision and troubleshoot interconnection services within the defined physical-layer scope.
  • Monitor alarms and validate field conditions, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Maintain documentation for cross-connects, connectivity paths, and capacity.
  • Support rack-and-stack readiness, optic swaps, cable management, and visual checks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience in data center operations and structured cabling.
  • Strong knowledge of copper and fiber media, patching, and cable testing.
  • Attention to detail with labeling, documentation, and change control.
  • Able to work precisely in live customer environments with minimal risk.
  • Willingness to work in a 24x7 environment and on-call rotations.
