Job Overview

As a Senior Client Partner, you will spearhead multi-platform advertising sales, create tailored solutions for high-value clients, and contribute to strategic business development initiatives. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to maximize revenue, deepen client engagements, and champion The Washington Post's reputation as both a media and technology leader.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell comprehensive advertising programs across digital, print, audio, and social channels through direct client and agency outreach.
  • Develop and execute internal business strategies, including establishing new data and programmatic partnerships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients within the consumer, finance, auto, travel, and media sectors.
  • Identify new revenue opportunities while nurturing and expanding existing accounts.
  • Communicate sales plans and actions to management, collaborating effectively with internal teams.
  • Stay informed on professional services industry trends and competitive landscape.
  • Attend in-person client meetings and external business functions as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 10+ years of media sales experience within key verticals: consumer, finance, auto, travel, and media.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-million dollar client accounts and drive growth across multiple lines of business.
  • Strong relationships at both client and agency levels.
  • Expertise in digital media markets and advertising solutions.
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and in-person sales skills.
  • Demonstrated business development and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience selling across digital, print, content, audio, and social platforms within the news industry.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to client locations.
  • Goal-oriented, self-starter with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
