Canonical, the publisher of Ubuntu, is seeking an Enterprise Account Executive to drive commercial adoption of open source software among leading enterprises globally. Job Overview

As an Enterprise Account Executive, you will develop and execute territory plans, build new business relationships, and deliver customized solutions to enterprise clients. You will work collaboratively with product, engineering, and customer success teams to ensure clients maximize their investment in Canonical's open source offerings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent Canonical and its open source solutions within your assigned territory.
  • Build and execute territory and account plans to drive outreach, prospecting, and pipeline development.
  • Close contracts to meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Manage customer relationships throughout the sales cycle, ensuring satisfaction and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with field engineers and customer success teams to deliver tailored solutions addressing client business needs.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline data and forecasts using Salesforce.
  • Attend industry conferences, customer engagements, and company events regionally and globally.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in engineering or computer science).
  • Experience in enterprise software, open source technology, and technology sales planning.
  • Strong understanding of cloud, virtualization, and container technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (and other relevant languages).
  • Ability to travel for client meetings and events.
  • Demonstrated achievement of sales targets and new account wins.
  • Detail-oriented with effective follow-up and reporting.
  • Self-motivated with discipline to succeed in a distributed, global team.
  • Vertical experience in sectors such as finance, telco, health, energy, public sector, or technology.
  • Experience speaking at conferences or industry events is a plus.
