Job Overview
  • Lead strategic communication initiatives to amplify Mozilla’s mission and projects.
  • Work remotely, collaborating with cross-functional teams across North America.
  • Develop and execute media outreach, content creation, and public relations strategies.
  • Serve as a spokesperson for Mozilla, engaging with press and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement comprehensive communication plans.
  • Manage relationships with media outlets and journalists.
  • Write, edit, and distribute press releases and key messaging.
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage and public sentiment.
  • Support crisis communication and reputation management.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in communications management, preferably with non-profits or tech organizations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Strong media relations and digital communication expertise.
  • Experience with content creation and public speaking.
  • Knowledge of internet policy and advocacy is a plus.
