The Wikimedia Foundation is seeking a passionate and skilled Social Media Specialist to join our remote team. Job Overview
  • Develop and execute social media strategies to promote Wikimedia Foundation's mission.
  • Engage with diverse online audiences across multiple platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling content and campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow the Foundation's presence on major social networks.
  • Monitor trends, analytics, and audience engagement to optimize content.
  • Respond to community questions and feedback in a timely manner.
  • Support the development of multimedia assets for social sharing.
  • Coordinate with global team members to ensure cohesive messaging.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven experience managing social media accounts for organizations or brands.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Familiarity with social media analytics and reporting tools.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote, international environment.
  • Passion for open knowledge, diversity, and community engagement.
