Quality Assurance Remote Collaboration Team Management Video Production Written Communication

Khan Academy India is seeking a Chemistry Subject Matter Expert to spearhead the creation and quality assurance of syllabus-aligned educational content for Grades 11-12, with additional oversight for Grades 6-10 Science. This contract-based, remote-friendly role focuses on developing world-class resources for millions of learners, with an emphasis on local relevance and accessibility. You will play a pivotal role in managing freelancers, driving content excellence, and fostering mastery-based learning for underserved students across India.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of freelance content creators for Chemistry and Science.
  • Onboard freelancers to Khan Academy’s content principles and standards.
  • Conduct quality checks for Chemistry videos and practice exercises (Grades 6-12).
  • Create and iterate syllabus-aligned Chemistry content for Grades 11-12.
  • Curate courses and organize workshops to collect and implement feedback.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in teaching and educational content creation for Chemistry.
  • Exceptional written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to timebox and deliver results efficiently.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward action and adaptability.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a remote team environment.
  • Strong passion for education and social impact.
  • Experience managing teams or freelancers is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Indian school curricula and content localization.
  • Eligibility: Open to citizens living in India only.
