Join Automattic as the Product Lead for Blaze Ads, our self-serve advertising solution built for small businesses on WordPress. Blaze is an early-stage product with strong momentum, and we're seeking a hands-on leader to elevate its product-market fit and accelerate customer acquisition. You'll guide a cross-functional remote team and shape the future of accessible ad technology for entrepreneurs and small business owners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the Blaze product vision, roadmap, and prioritization.
  • Lead and collaborate with engineers, designers, and marketers to deliver intuitive self-serve ad tools.
  • Transform Blaze from a blogging tool into a solution tailored for small businesses starting online.
  • Champion user experience, simplifying complex ad tech while preserving functionality.
  • Gather and act on real-world user feedback to guide product decisions.
  • Partner with Automattic products (WordPress.com, Woo, Jetpack) to drive distribution and growth.
  • Own the end-to-end experience, from onboarding to campaign attribution and performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 3–6 years of product management experience, with proven leadership in a meaningful area.
  • Background in self-serve advertising products, preferably for small businesses.
  • Strong understanding of ad tech fundamentals and user-centric product development.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, remote, and early-stage environments.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional, distributed teams.
  • Comfortable working independently and executing scrappy, hands-on product work.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Preference for candidates in North American and EMEA time zones.
