We are seeking a highly skilled Income & Franchise Tax SALT Manager to plan, manage, and complete state and local tax compliance engagements. This role involves leading SALT engagements from start to finish, ensuring budgeting and timely delivery while providing technical SALT expertise and supervising staff on various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead SALT engagements from inception to completion with a focus on budgeting and timely delivery.
  • Provide technical expertise in state and local tax compliance.
  • Supervise and mentor staff on engagements to enhance their professional development.
  • Manage client relationships and support business development efforts.
  • Stay informed on legislative developments impacting SALT to provide accurate guidance.
  • Collaborate effectively with Partners and teams across various offices.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Active CPA license is required.
  • 5+ years of public accounting experience with a focus on SALT.
  • Strong knowledge in multi-state income and franchise tax.
  • Experience in tax research and planning.
  • Proficiency in tax software (CCH Axcess) and MS Office.
  • Demonstrated ability in training, mentoring, and staff development.
  • Growth-minded and entrepreneurial mindset.
