Amplicon Sequencing Specialist

As a Research Associate in Platform Technology, you will be responsible for executing amplicon sequencing workflows and next-generation sequencing (NGS) library preparation to evaluate RNA therapeutics. This role requires strong technical skills and attention to detail to ensure high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute amplicon sequencing workflows and NGS library preparation.
• Perform library quality control using TapeStation, Qubit, and qPCR.
• Identify and flag bottlenecks affecting quality.
• Operate the Illumina NextSeq including run setup and troubleshooting.
• Conduct PCR, qPCR, ddPCR, and nucleic acid extractions across various cell types and tissues.
• Run automated workflows using liquid handlers like Hamilton STAR and Agilent Bravo.
• Document experimental plans, results, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) in an electronic lab notebook (ELN).
• Share results and assay updates with team collaborators in meetings.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Genomics, Biotech, or related field.
• 1-3 years of hands-on experience in a laboratory setting.
• Foundational knowledge of molecular and cell biology.
• Experience with amplicon sequencing or targeted NGS.
• Hands-on exposure to nucleic acid extraction and quantitation.
• Proficiency in PCR, qPCR, and ddPCR techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and reproducible lab work.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
