Senior Test Technician

The Senior Test Technician will be responsible for conducting hypervelocity impact tests using advanced ballistic test equipment. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols to ensure successful test execution and data collection.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct hypervelocity impact tests using light gas gun and ballistic test equipment.
• Set up, calibrate, and operate diagnostic equipment including high-speed cameras and pressure sensors.
• Prepare test specimens, projectiles, sabots, and shielding configurations to precise specifications.
• Perform post-test inspections and damage assessments, documenting results through photography and detailed written reports.
• Maintain and perform routine preventative maintenance on testing equipment.
• Execute all testing operations in strict compliance with range safety protocols.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on technical experience in testing, laboratory, or manufacturing.
• High school Diploma or equivalency certificate.
• Experience with ballistic testing or hypervelocity testing.
• Familiarity with high-speed imaging systems and data acquisition software.
• Knowledge of vacuum systems and pressure vessels.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, or research laboratory environments.
