As the AVP of Sales for the Central Region, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy targeting enterprise health systems, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), and large healthcare networks. You will be responsible for building and nurturing executive relationships across various stakeholders including C-Suite executives, surgeons, OR directors, IT professionals, biomedical engineers, and administrative staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy across enterprise health systems, IDNs, and large networks.
  • Build executive relationships with C-Suite, surgeons, OR directors, IT, biomedical engineers, and admins.
  • Consistently exceed quota via disciplined pipeline management.
  • Lead negotiations, RFPs, and contracts for multi-million dollar deals.
  • Partner with marketing, product, R&D, and customer success to accelerate adoption.
  • Represent Apella as a trusted advisor to customers and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to forecasting, territory planning, and scalable sales processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 10+ years of enterprise sales experience with a track record of quota attainment in MedTech or healthcare capital equipment.
  • Strong relationships with Tier 1 health systems and IDNs (e.g., HCA, CommonSpirit, Mercy Health).
  • Experience selling disruptive technology such as healthtech, robotics, and SaaS.
  • Proven success in building new markets from zero to scale.
  • Deep expertise in multi-stakeholder enterprise sales, negotiations, RFPs, and contracting models.
  • Ability to thrive in both startup and enterprise environments, balancing hustle with repeatable processes.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on mentoring peers and influencing cross-functional teams.
  • Mission-driven focus on improving healthcare outcomes through innovation.
