We are seeking a Finance Controller to lead our monthly and annual close processes, ensuring best-in-class timelines and compliance with GAAP standards. The ideal candidate will manage intercompany transactions and consolidations across our US, UK, and Canada operations while owning revenue recognition for our mixed hardware/software offerings with recurring revenue streams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own monthly and annual close processes with best-in-class timelines.
  • Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements for board and investor reporting.
  • Manage intercompany transactions and consolidation across US/UK/Canada.
  • Own revenue recognition for mixed hardware/software with recurring revenue.
  • Build automated workflows to streamline close processes, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Prepare for external audit readiness and month-end close package.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • 6–10 years progressive accounting/finance experience; 2+ years at a venture startup.
  • Experience as a solo/primary finance leader in a company of 30–150 employees.
  • Technical accounting knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition, inventory, and consolidation.
  • International accounting experience (US + at least one non-US jurisdiction).
  • Ability to prepare investor-grade financial statements and board packages.
  • Experience with ERP implementation or migration.
  • CPA certification required.
  • Familiarity with AI-native finance tools (Rillet, Ramp).
  • Experience supporting fundraising efforts (Series B+): data room, Q&A.
  • Experience with RaaS, debt facilities, or equipment financing.
  • Background in aviation, logistics, robotics, or automation is a plus.
