The Sr. Director of Customer Security and Trust serves as the primary security representative in customer and prospect engagements, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of security architecture, threat models, controls, and risk management across various layers. This role is critical in driving technical security discussions and addressing customer concerns related to confidentiality, integrity, availability, privacy, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary security representative during customer engagements, including deep dives and architecture reviews.
  • Articulate security architecture, threat models, and risk management strategies.
  • Drive technical security discussions during pre-procurement stages.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success teams to address security objections.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams regarding security requirements and risks.
  • Maintain knowledge of the organization’s security design and incident response capabilities.
  • Represent the company in customer-led penetration tests and third-party assessments.
  • Contribute to the improvement of customer-facing security artifacts.
  • Track emerging security expectations and regulatory trends.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 12+ years of experience in information security.
  • Strong background in Security Architecture, Cloud Security, Application Security, and Compliance.
  • Proven experience leading technical security discussions.
  • Deep understanding of modern security architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Strong knowledge of identity and access management, encryption, and incident response.
  • Hands-on experience with security frameworks like ISO 27001, SOC2, and NIST.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-relevant explanations.
  • Excellent communication skills with strong executive presence.
  • Prior experience in customer-facing security roles.
  • Relevant security certifications are a plus.
