We are seeking a Sr. Staff Engineer to lead the end-to-end design of high voltage battery pack components specifically for aircraft applications. This role requires collaboration with various teams including CAE engineers, quality, testing, supply chain, and manufacturing to ensure the successful development and integration of battery systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and prototyping of high voltage battery pack components.
  • Collaborate with integration and certification teams to meet FAA requirements.
  • Push conventional battery design boundaries to address aerospace needs.
  • Establish design standards and best practices for Archer battery design.
  • Mentor early-career battery design engineers and support their development.
  • Develop the battery hardware technology roadmap for future applications.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of mechanical design experience in high-voltage battery design.
  • Strong fundamentals in structural design, materials, heat transfer, and fluids.
  • Proficiency in CAD (NX preferred), tolerance stack analysis, and 2D drafting with GD&T.
  • Experience with parts across prototype and mass production.
  • Exceptional communication skills and hands-on prototype experience.
