Research and prepare technical accounting assessments of complex customer contracts, including multi-element arrangements, usage-based pricing, variable consideration, and customer incentives. Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Legal and FP&A as needed, on specific contract reviews and overarching commercial strategies to ensure revenue recognition is in compliance with ASC 606. Lead alignment with operational accounting in the use of revenue tools for the implementation of new customer contracts, modifications, and the periodic review of assumptions used to establish revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606. Support the monthly revenue close process, including reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and investigating anomalies in revenue recognition. Own SOX controls, audit deliverables and SEC reporting related to revenue recognition and disclosures. Maintain the process for determining and updating Stand-Alone Selling Pricing (SSPs), including periodic refreshes, quantitative analysis, and documentation in compliance with ASC 606. Help maintain revenue accounting policies, including memos, position papers that evolve with the business and educate teams on the principles and requirements. Collaborate with systems and business partners to design and enhance revenue automation tools ensuring accurate system configuration and accounting logic. Lead revenue accounting for new product launches and GTM initiatives ensuring scalability of the end-to-end processes. Support special projects and company wide-initiatives as needed, leveraging technical expertise to drive successful outcomes.
