Join VRChat's Experience Team as a Product Designer and help shape the future of immersive social experiences. You'll craft foundational user experiences that foster connection and presence across VRChat's cross-platform ecosystem. As a steward of our design system, you'll ensure coherent, accessible, and delightful design patterns for desktop, mobile, and VR. This fully remote role empowers you to make a meaningful impact on the metaverse, collaborating with a world-class distributed team.

Job Overview
  • Design and evolve core social experiences including events, groups, and hangouts within VRChat.
  • Own and advance the cross-platform design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across client, web, and mobile.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, PMs, and engineers to deliver intuitive, expressive, and accessible user interfaces.
  • Champion systems thinking, interaction design, and presence-based UX.
  • Work remotely from anywhere, with flexible vacation and global collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with design leads, product managers, and engineers to design core features for social interaction.
  • Develop flows, wireframes, prototypes, and visuals in Figma for cross-platform use.
  • Maintain and evolve the design system, ensuring accessibility and performance.
  • Collaborate to implement delightful UI and distribute design knowledge.
  • Stay informed on community behavior to guide real-world UX patterns.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Expertise in product, interaction, and UI design (preferably for cross-platform and immersive environments).
  • Strong proficiency with Figma and design system management.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering and cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of accessible, scalable, and performant UI principles.
  • Passion for online communities, emergent social behaviors, and digital sociology.
