Senior Security Engineer

As a Senior Information Security Engineer at Qualia, you will partner with stakeholders to enhance the security posture of the organization, uncover security weaknesses, and build robust security measures. This role requires a proactive approach to security challenges, with a focus on automation and education.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify security gaps and strengthen the overall security posture.
• Conduct threat modeling and security assessments.
• Build and operate security tooling for prevention, detection, investigation, and response.
• Evaluate cloud security posture including configurations and drift monitoring.
• Act as an escalation point for customer security concerns, triaging and resolving issues.
• Triage and reproduce vulnerability findings, clearly communicating risks.
• Scale security impact through automation and education.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4+ years of information security experience.
• Familiarity with both defensive and offensive security practices.
• Curiosity about system operations and vulnerabilities.
• Ability to write automation scripts or detection tools.
• Hands-on experience with security operations tooling such as SIEMs, IDS/IPS, and WAFs.
• Knowledge of core IT domains including endpoint management and cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with IAM concepts like SSO, MFA, and RBAC.
• Experience with security automation and orchestration.
• Proficiency in penetration testing tools like Nmap and Nessus.
• Strong communication skills for risk reporting.
