We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Accountant to manage and execute payroll functions for both US and Canadian entities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in payroll accounting and a strong understanding of compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare payroll journal entries in NetSuite.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline and resolve variances within 30 days.
  • Accurately reconcile payroll cash transactions.
  • Prepare monthly payroll accrual and expense load files for the general ledger.
  • Process biweekly Canadian payroll for two entities while ensuring compliance.
  • Reconcile benefits billing statements to payroll records.
  • Support year-end reconciliations, compliance reviews, and internal audits.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • 3+ years of payroll accounting experience.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite and/or Blackline.
  • Knowledge of US federal/state payroll compliance; Canadian payroll knowledge is a plus.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to respond to cross-functional requests.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA/CPP certification is a plus.
