Oncology General Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled General Supervisor for our Oncology department in a high-complexity CLIA lab. The ideal candidate will lead the supervision of Clinical Laboratory Scientists (CLS) and Clinical Laboratory Assistants (CLA), ensuring the effective operation of oncology sample processing while adhering to regulatory compliance and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead general supervision of CLS/CLA in a high-complexity CLIA lab.
• Oversee day-to-day operations for oncology sample processing.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, quality, and operational excellence.
• Act as the primary escalation point for technical, operational, and staffing issues.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and workload distribution.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Active California CLS license (or CGMBS/generalist) meeting CLIA high-complexity requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, physical, or clinical lab science.
• Minimum 4 years of clinical lab experience, including molecular/high-complexity testing.
• Hands-on molecular biology skills: DNA extraction, PCR, liquid handlers.
• Strong knowledge of LIMS, quality systems, and lab documentation.
• Proficiency with Google Docs, Excel, Word, and basic statistics.
