IT Security Engineer Role

The IT Security Engineer II position at FloQast involves collaborating with IT teams to enhance security protocols and maintain robust security systems. This role is vital in ensuring the organization meets compliance standards and effectively manages security events.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security systems in collaboration with IT teams.
• Assist with vendor and contractor security reviews and third-party SaaS audits.
• Triage security events with the MDR partner, analyzing incidents for escalation.
• Maintain compliance attestations and participate in risk assessments.
• Secure and monitor internal endpoints, managing endpoint tooling on macOS and Windows.
• Engage in IT sprint cadence and contribute to security awareness training initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience as a Security Engineer or IT security professional.
• Proficiency in writing custom scripts and queries for auditable changes.
• Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, Azure/Entra ID, and Okta preferred.
• Knowledge of enforcing security policies on macOS and Windows endpoints.
• Foundational knowledge of HTTP/S, DNS, VPN, SAML, and OAuth.
• Familiarity with CIS Benchmarks and NIST, as well as awareness of SOC, SOX, PCI, and ISO standards.
• Understanding of zero-trust security concepts.
