The Data Center Electrician is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical infrastructure critical to the functioning of the facility. This role requires a keen understanding of both AC and DC power systems and ensures compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical infrastructure, including utility feeds, generators, UPS systems, switchgear, and distribution systems.
  • Install, modify, and energize AC and DC power circuits to customer equipment in compliance with code and site standards.
  • Monitor electrical capacity, system loads, and breaker availability, identifying risks and ensuring safe operating conditions.
  • Lead electrical troubleshooting and corrective repairs during incidents, outages, or abnormal system conditions.
  • Support infrastructure lifecycle work, including upgrades, expansions, and new equipment deployment.
  • Provide technical oversight of vendor-performed maintenance, ensuring work is executed safely and meets standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Licensed Electrician or equivalent certification.
  • 5+ years of experience with electrical systems in mission-critical, industrial, or similar environments.
  • Strong knowledge of UPS, generators, switchgear, and DC power systems.
  • Experience with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AC and DC systems.
  • Familiarity with NEC, local codes, and safety standards (LOTO, arc flash).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical documentation.
