The Data Center Electrician is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting the electrical infrastructure critical to data center operations. This role involves working with utility feeds, generators, UPS, switchgear, and distribution systems to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical infrastructure including utility feeds and generators.
  • Install, modify, and energize AC/DC power circuits to customer equipment per code and site standards.
  • Monitor capacity, loads, and breaker availability; identify risks and ensure safe operation.
  • Lead electrical troubleshooting and corrective repair during incidents, outages, or abnormal conditions.
  • Support infrastructure lifecycle work including upgrades, expansions, and new equipment deployment.
  • Provide technical oversight of vendor-maintained work, ensuring safety and standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Licensed Electrician or equivalent electrical certification required.
  • 5+ years of experience with electrical systems in mission-critical or industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical distribution: UPS, generators, switchgear, DC power systems.
  • Experience with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AC/DC systems.
  • Familiarity with NEC, local codes, and safety standards (LOTO, arc flash).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical documentation.
