Bank Database Engineer

Job Description

As a Database Engineer at SouthState Bank, you will be responsible for maintaining databases across the bank network, collaborating with the Database Architect on infrastructure design, and establishing development processes and best practices. You will work on setting up and maintaining MS SQL databases and servers, analyzing business requirements to design and implement data models, and optimizing database performance. Communication with technical teams and ensuring database integrity and security are also key aspects of the role. Additionally, you will manage backup, recovery, and high availability plans, control access permissions, and ensure compliance with data governance requirements. A minimum of 10 years of production environment experience and strong analytical skills are required.
