Automations Controls Engineer

The Automations and Controls Engineer will design, implement, and maintain automated control systems aimed at enhancing efficiency and safety within manufacturing environments. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to fulfill process requirements and deploy effective automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop control systems, preparing project specifications including cost, timeline, and resources.
• Lead third-party integrators and perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
• Develop Human-Machine Interface (HMI) programs and facilitate data exchange with SAP/MII, MES, and SCADA systems.
• Integrate devices and sensors with PID controls while ensuring safe operation through various networking protocols.
• Support vision systems and troubleshoot issues related to automated control systems.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing controls, with at least 1 year as a controls engineer.
• Proficiency in IEC61131-3 languages and experience with Sysmac Studio/CX-One, Allen-Bradley, or Beckhoff systems.
• Knowledge of NEC/ANSI NFPA 70E and UL508 safety standards.
• Experience in AC/DC electrical design up to 480VAC, power distribution, and panel layout.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with effective cross-functional communication.
• Familiarity with Windows, AutoCAD Electrical, Google Suite, and MS Office.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
