Job Overview

As a Supplier Development Engineer, Mechanical at Starshield, you will be responsible for improving quality, cost, delivery, and capacity for mechanical hardware. You will collaborate with teams on part design, assembly, metrology, and design intent.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate on part design, assembly, metrology, and design intent
  • Support procurement in sourcing parts based on supplier capability
  • Define supplier technical and quality requirements for NPI and production
  • Lead root-cause analysis to resolve supplier quality issues
  • Implement PPAP with suppliers to enable rate production
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or STEM
  • 1+ years manufacturing/process engineering experience or 1+ year internship
  • Willingness to obtain US government Top Secret clearance
  • Knowledge of GD&T, Lean, Six Sigma, and DOE
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
