Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant will play a vital role in supporting children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. This position involves implementing treatment plans that focus on enhancing communication skills and fostering social interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Set goals based on assessments targeting core deficits in ASD.
• Encourage spontaneous and reciprocal communication during daily activities.
• Utilize multimodal communication strategies, including spoken language, gestures, speech-generating devices (SGDs), and writing.
• Support literacy and social goals as part of treatment plans.
• Learn and implement our specialized language program and provide training to families.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to serve children with developmental disabilities.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant in California.
• Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly children with autism.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
