We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead backend architecture and system design for critical customer-facing features. This role requires a proactive individual who can drive new systems, manage technical roadmaps, and serve as a technical anchor within the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead backend architecture and system design.
  • Proactively propose and drive new systems supporting customer features.
  • Own the backend roadmap and drive technical decisions.
  • Optimize existing systems for performance, reliability, and cost.
  • Manage technical roadmap and tackle larger scope problems.
  • Set engineering standards and lead design reviews.
  • Coordinate and communicate with engineering, product, and design teams.
  • Leverage AI coding tools to enhance development velocity.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Deep expertise in backend/distributed systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Go, Python, Ruby, or similar languages/frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with designing and scaling distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
  • Generalist mindset with deep expertise in at least one domain.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and building consensus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
