Senior Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer with expertise in tooling and equipment to lead the development of innovative solutions for aircraft assembly. This role requires a strong focus on defining requirements, engaging suppliers, and delivering production-ready systems from concept to ramp-up.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of tooling and automated equipment for aircraft assembly.
• Define equipment requirements and drive supplier engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
• Translate product requirements into detailed equipment specifications.
• Develop station concepts, process flows, and equipment architectures.
• Implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Establish safety, quality, and throughput targets early in the project.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience with a focus on tooling and equipment.
• Proven experience in specifying and delivering capital equipment through suppliers.
• Strong understanding of assembly, structures, composites, or systems integration.
• Knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE), process validation, and capability analysis.
• Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Computer-Aided Design (CAD), and manufacturing simulation tools.
• Experience in an aerospace or high-rate production environment is a bonus.
• Experience with automation suppliers or line integrators is a plus.
