Job Overview

Join Kraken, a mission-focused crypto company, as a Senior Database Administrator. Help scale and secure our high-load MariaDB cluster and ensure optimal performance. Work remotely with a global team of industry pioneers.

Responsibilities

Scale and optimize MariaDB cluster
Enhance high availability and disaster recovery
Implement automation and CI/CD workflows
Manage database security and upgrades
Provide off-hours production support

Requirements & Qualifications

Expertise in MariaDB/MySQL
Experience with HAProxy, ProxySQL, and MaxScale
Strong programming and scripting skills
Automation mindset with CI/CD pipelines
Proficiency in AWS services and cloud-native practices
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and database security
Experience with DB monitoring tools
Strong communication and team-oriented mindset
