Key Responsibilities
  • Operate mechanical test frames or characterization instruments.
  • Perform mechanical testing (tensile, fatigue, compression) on metals and polymers.
  • Maintain calibration and upkeep of lab instrumentation.
  • Document data and provide basic interpretation; flag off-nominal results.
  • Maintain safe, clean, and organized lab operations.
  • Lead lab-improvement initiatives and promote 5S in the workspace.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years hands-on materials testing in a lab.
  • Knowledge of safe lab practices with solvents and chemicals.
  • Experience with thermal instruments: TGA, DMA, DSC.
  • Experience with mechanical test frames: Instron, MTS.
  • Strong computer skills: MS Office and JIRA.
