Come help us unlock peace of mind so everyone can stay safer online.The Backend Platform team at 1Password is dedicated to building and optimizing scalable infrastructure, driving best practices, and supporting the evolution of our backend systems to meet the growing needs of our users.As the Backend Platform Manager, you will lead a team focused on establishing scalable infrastructure and promoting API-first development practices. You will play a key role in breaking down monolithic components and enabling our backend systems to scale efficiently. Your leadership will help shape the future of our engineering practices and support the continued growth and success of 1Password.This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.What we’re looking for:Experience successfully leading and mentoring a high-performing engineering team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture for at least 3-5 years.Expertise in deploying and managing containerized applications, automating CI/CD pipelines, and orchestrating complex systems in cloud environments (AWS or GCP preferred).Effectively managed teams within Agile frameworks, promoting iterative development and continuous improvement practices.Deep understanding of Git workflows, enabling seamless collaboration and maintaining code integrity across distributed teams.Strong coding skills, emphasizing the ability to write scalable and maintainable code that supports large-scale production systems.
