Your contributions will ensure our financial records accurately reflect our story.Why is this a great opportunity?Octopus Deploy is a growing company with a tracking record of being profitableYou will get real global exposure with operations in Australia, the US, the UK, New Zealand, and Israel.We are investing in tools to streamline the process and strengthen financial controls so you will get the opportunity to lead or be involved in various projectsA typical day might include:Process accounting journal entriesPerform balance sheet reconciliationsAnswering queries in the finance Slack channelUnderstanding the numbers to assist with month-end variance analyticsLodging BAS, NZ GST, UK VAT, US Sales taxes, and other returnsPerform other ad hoc accounting duties to support the Finance teamMaintaining solid financial controls while mitigating financial and operational risks, including assisting with yearly audits for various jurisdictionsIdentifying process improvement opportunities and executing the changeWe are looking for someone like you who:Ideally, you live on the East coast of AustraliaYou possess impeccable attention to detail2 to 3 years of relevant accounting experienceBe able to take ownership of tasksYou are self-motivated and can work effectively in a remote environmentYou are keen to learn new skills and excited to solve problemsWorking towards CA/CPA qualificationsCompensation:Octopus has an internally open and transparent system for compensation. Any Octonaut can view the compensation for any role at any level.
