WHAT IS COMMUNITY LABS? 

Community Labs (“CLabs” or “Company”) is a native software development company and venture studio focused on accelerating developer tools, use cases, and adoption of Arweave – a permanent storage blockchain. The Company is focused on developing foundational-level infrastructure for the next thousand founders and developers on Arweave. CLabs will develop products and tools in-house and support founders via the CLabs venture studio.

WHAT WILL YOU DO? 

As a Digital Illustrator/Animator at Community Labs, you will work directly with the Head of Design on design projects for multiple protocols and products. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Figma, have a sharp eye for detail, and be a quick learner. Candidates must be able to work on multiple creative projects simultaneously and deliver agreed upon results. We value trust and a willingness to learn and grow over years of experience. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to grow their career in the field of UI design. As Digital Illustrator/Animator you will:

• Create sleek illustrations based on minimal direction in a variety of styles - 2D/3D
• Concepting, designing and animating content for a variety of digital media and platforms - websites, apps, marketing materials, social media
• Follow different brand guidelines to maintain visual consistency for the illustrations/animations
• Collaborate effectively with designers, development teams, and product managers
• Participate in reviews and incorporate feedback from team members to refine illustrations/animations

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 

• Knowledge of modern illustration and animation styles 
• Expert level skills in platforms for Illustration e.g. Adobe Illustrator, Figma
• Expert level skills in platforms for Animations e.g. Adobe After Effects, Rive, Lottie
• Ability to collaborate with the product and engineering teams to ensure cohesive visual language and a unified aesthetic across the Community Labs family of products
• Portfolio showcasing illustrations and animations 
• Problem solving skills and asking for help when needed
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Active, organized and diligent with work tasks 
• Working knowledge of Agile/Lean sprints methodologies

• Understanding accessibility standards
• Use of AI image tools to support illustrations/animations
