In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be optimizing company performance with algorithms, experimentation, and interactive dashboards. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to novel research studies and production-grade algorithms that serve students and educators. This position sits on the Data and AI Team, which sets the standard for data-driven and scientific decision-making throughout the business. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver with excellent technical and communication skills and is committed to fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.\nWhat You\xe2\x80\x99ll Do\n\nCollaborate across teams to implement data science and machine learning solutions to optimize GoGuardian\xe2\x80\x99s internal operations and SaaS products\nCommunicate methods and findings with stakeholders through written reports, presentations, dashboards, and APIs\nBuild machine learning models and deploy them as production services at scale\nExtract and transform data in a reliable, repeatable manner\nEmpirically explore novel data sets and identify opportunities to improve predictive algorithms\nBuild tooling to support efforts such as unit testing, automated deployment testing, model performance tracking, etc.\nJoin the best data science team in EdTech!\n\nWho You Are\n\nAdvanced education (PhD or Master\xe2\x80\x99s), preferably in a quantitative field (science, math, statistics, engineering, etc.)\n4-5 years of professional work experience or commensurate academic research experience\nExperience applying data science solutions to deliver impactful results\nAn outstanding ability to communicate complex findings to stakeholders outside of Data Science\nAdvanced skills in Python\nProven self-learner with the drive and talent to hit the ground running\nPlenty of experience with traditional statistics and ML approaches\nFamiliarity with Deep Learning methods and libraries (e.g. transformers, PyTorch, fast.ai)\nExperience with collaborative development (e.g. in GitHub)\nExperience in cloud computing (AWS, GCP, or Azure)\nExperience extracting data from a variety of sources in a variety of formats\nKnowledge of best practices in coding/scientific projects\nNice to Have: Experience with Docker/containerized workflow, Natural Language Processing experience, and experience working within the Databricks platform\nEager to take initiative in a fast-paced, ever-changing, dynamic environment.\nFueled by the opportunity to truly impact the education landscape.\nSomething else? The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire base pay for this position and your pay will be determined by a variety of factors, including your primary work location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
