We are seeking talented Fullstack Engineers (f/m/d) to join our AI Feature Innovation team—a group dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with AI-driven content solutions. As a Fullstack Engineer, you will play a crucial role in exploring and delivering AI-powered experiences that enhance the way customers author and interact with content. You’ll work on shipping cutting-edge AI-powered features, collaborating closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to shape the future of intelligent content management. This role is perfect for an engineer who is excited about leveraging AI to solve real-world challenges, designing scalable systems, and building innovative customer-facing solutions. You will not only integrate existing AI technologies into Contentful but also develop new services and workflows that unlock new possibilities for content creation, personalization, and automation. What to Expect Innovate and Explore: Research, prototype and deliver new AI-powered end-to-end features, collaborating with stakeholders to identify opportunities to enhance the Contentful experience. Fullstack Development: Design, develop, and maintain frontend and backend components using TypeScript, React, and Node.js, ensuring seamless AI feature integration. AI Integration: Leverage AI models, APIs, and services to build intelligent automation, personalization, and content editing capabilities. Service Design: Develop and integrate backend services that power AI-driven features, ensuring reliability, scalability, and efficiency. Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to ideate, experiment, and iterate on innovative solutions. Performance & Optimization: Optimize AI-driven processes and ensure the solutions are performant, intuitive, and scalable for customers. Stay Ahead of the Curve: Keep up with advancements in AI and AI-powered solutions and technologies to identify opportunities for innovation. What You Need to be Successful Full Stack Development: Proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Node.js with a solid understanding of clean code practices and exposure to enterprise architectural design patterns. AI Enthusiasm: A passion for AI-driven innovation, with experience in integrating AI/ML APIs, models, or services into products. API and Service Design: Demonstrated experience in developing APIs and services capable of handling moderate traffic efficiently. Containerization and Orchestration: Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, particularly in deploying microservices. Cloud Services Exposure: Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, and experience with services like AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions, or Azure App Services is a plus. Curiosity and Problem-Solving: A self-starter who thrives on exploring new AI capabilities, testing new ideas, and solving complex challenges. Collaboration & Adaptability: Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to working in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Preferred: Experience developing AI-powered features in a product-driven environment. Exposure to foundational AI models, prompt engineering, or other AI-powered content generation techniques. Understanding of AI UX considerations and how to make AI-powered experiences intuitive and effective. What's in it for you?
