"Comprehensive API Documentation and Secure Tokenization"
The API documentation is excellent, with plenty of solid code examples on GitHub. I quickly created a proof of concept to demonstrate to my team lead that we could achieve our goals with VGS. I can't think of any major downsides. Perhaps the concepts around using VGS Proxy for detokenization could be clarified better. Previously, we used our payment processor to tokenize PII and PFI, but that unnecessarily tied us to them. VGS allows us to switch payment providers easily while meeting security audit requirements.

It would be challenging for small to medium tech companies to develop custom payment solutions without PCI proxies like VGS. They also offer services around card capture, storage, and technical compliance, including SOC compliance assistance. Another powerful feature is providing users with up-to-date card details, reducing friction between SaaS providers and end-users by eliminating the need to repeatedly request updated payment info.
