Our SOC analysts leverage Vectra AI to examine anomaly detections across our environment. Integration with M365 and Azure AD was straightforward. A notable success: we swiftly pinpointed and halted data exfiltration after Vectra AI flagged a suspicious M365 mail forwarding rule. Additional detections included risky Exchange operations, phishing simulation config changes, suspect eDiscovery usage, and malicious links from external Teams users, among others. For our SOC team, key detections that averted a serious incident included Azure AD admin account creation, logins from disabled accounts, TOR activity, and suspicious device registrations. A standout feature is the AI intelligence, plus the Post-Quantum Cryptography Readiness dashboard. With quantum computing threatening current public-key crypto (SSH and TLS), this dashboard shows hosts and daily SSH connections still using non-PQC key exchange, helping us assess exposure and plan migration to quantum-safe algorithms. The UI loads quickly and provides clear visuals, enabling our analysts to navigate the environment and spot emerging threats effectively. When issues arose, vendor support was prompt and professional. Cost might be a barrier for some, but as a large company with flexible budget, this was a solid investment. Initial setup demanded documentation review and support calls. Overall, Vectra AI is a powerful solution that presents vast data through an intuitive, modern interface, safeguarding assets and network from modern attacks.
