It's simple to use, the support team is helpful, and new features are constantly being developed. PowerPoint lacks editable charts, and it also doesn't offer much flexibility when it comes to editing tables. It saves a lot of time when editing slides. It helps me create better-looking presentations and lets me spend more time on more complex tasks.

I like the PowerPoint shortcuts the best, especially the ability to copy width and height with two simple shortcuts and the ability to swap shapes really easily. I don't use the Excel functionality as much and have had issues with Excel outputting in the past (i.e., it doesn't output correctly or when I hit refresh, it can crash my Excel). It's allowing me to work more quickly in PowerPoint, especially with effective shortcuts, and allowing me to format slides quickly and efficiently. It saves me a lot of time when I use it and allows me to create better presentation materials. I don't use it in Excel as much, but some of the auto-formatting functionality can be pretty good too.

I really appreciate UpSlide because it allows me to use the linked slides feature, which isn't available in PowerPoint otherwise. This feature is particularly valuable as it reduces the risk of errors because I only need to edit a slide once, not across all my decks. I also found the UpSlide team to be very responsive and helpful during the setup process, even though it involved a lot of back and forth. All PowerPoints using the linked slides feature must live in the UpSlide library. The initial setup was difficult with a lot of back and forth, but the UpSlide team was very responsive and helpful throughout. UpSlide reduces the risk of error by allowing me to edit a slide once without updating multiple decks.

Very intuitive interface. From a functionality standpoint, the robust connection between Excel and PowerPoint, along with the level of control over content and brand alignment, adds significant value to our business. We also received excellent support from the team throughout onboarding and setup, and they've continued to be responsive and helpful on an ongoing basis. So far, I've had no issues with any aspect of the product. UpSlide automates some elements of slide creation, but its biggest value is the added control it gives you over brand alignment and a consistent, cohesive style.

UpSlide significantly improves how we work in PowerPoint and Excel. The Excel-to-PowerPoint linking is the biggest value add, allowing us to update charts and tables instantly without reformatting, saving real time on every deck. The built-in formatting and branded templates also ensure consistency across teams with minimal effort. An unexpected benefit is how much it has reduced last-minute presentation clean-ups before client meetings. Some Excel formatting actions applied via UpSlide cannot be undone using Excel's native Undo function, which can disrupt workflow if changes need to be reversed. Improved Undo support or a preview step would significantly enhance usability. UpSlide solves the inefficiency and risk associated with heavy PowerPoint and Excel usage in a fast-paced environment. The tight Excel-to-PowerPoint integration removes manual updating and reformatting, significantly reducing errors and saving time. The interface feels intuitive once set up, and the formatting tools and templates make it easier to keep outputs consistent without slowing the workflow. Performance has been solid even with large, data-heavy decks. From a cost perspective, the time saved across the team more than justifies the investment. Onboarding and support have also been strong, especially during setup and template customization. While not positioned as an AI tool, the automation and rules-based intelligence embedded in the product already deliver many of the efficiency gains users typically seek.

The shortcuts and templates for PowerPoint and Excel are the most helpful to me. They save a huge amount of time, make it much faster to produce high-quality, consistent materials, and eliminate much of the repetitive formatting I would otherwise do manually. Overall, it's a great tool. My only criticism is that it can occasionally be a bit slow or unstable. For example, some auto-update features that sync an Excel backup with a PPT can sometimes crash the PPT. It removes a lot of the manual formatting work in presentations and models, helping me produce consistent, high-quality materials faster and with fewer errors.

The product is very easy to use and is explained well by the customer service team. I appreciate that the team is always available to answer questions and suggest new features. Based on our team's feedback, the least helpful features are the formatting ones, mainly because we don't use them much. I think we could benefit from a refresh or update as we work to adopt more of UpSlide's tools. UpSlide is helping us solve tombstone creation, which was very manual before. It's extremely beneficial because it houses all tombstones in a central location and improves our process for gathering details needed to create them. Kudos to the team for making the process easy, even with staff changes.

UpSlide helps me create PowerPoints efficiently, giving me more time to focus on other daily tasks. I especially like the library feature because it allows you to store slides that are already branded and formatted the way you want, making the whole process smooth. I don't have much else to add; overall, it's a great addition to PowerPoint. It enables the entire company to use the correct template and the same library, ensuring all presentations remain on-brand and consistent.

We currently rely heavily on UpSlide to transfer graphs from Excel to PowerPoint. Our entire market pitch is built on UpSlide-linked graphs, making updates very easy and saving us a significant amount of time. Additionally, I used UpSlide at my previous job (a large German bank) for tombstone creation and connecting Excel graphs. For these use cases, it's one of the best tools I've encountered. However, I'm not a big fan of the fact that graphs are uploaded as images, which makes resizing them afterward challenging. We often adjust the slide layout and need the graph to be larger or smaller, so having to re-upload it every time is inconvenient. Apart from that, I have no negative remarks about the tool. UpSlide generates precise tombstones for our bank, making our daily work easier and more convenient. We use these tombstones to highlight our achievements, but until now, the process required copying, pasting, and manually resizing them from a PPT presentation. With the new Tombstone library, we can insert tombstones directly into any pitch in the exact size and format we need, saving time and ensuring everyone uses a consistent layout.

This is a huge time-saver when building client or management presentations. 2. The linking solutions: This includes text links that allow PowerPoint and Word documents to be refreshed automatically from an Excel source. Additionally, our department updates thousands of league tables in PowerPoint every month, and these are connected to the league-table Excel file in a smart way because UpSlide's linking stays intact regardless of the file name or location. This makes file sharing seamless and guarantees all links remain operational. 3. The PowerPoint library solutions: You can select individual slides or standard decks available to everyone or to a specified group of license holders, and private library sections for sensitive data are also an option. My clear favorite is the easy access to our tombstone database, which was created with the UpSlide team's help. Anyone in the bank with an UpSlide license can quickly browse, filter, and pick tombstones across all products, countries, and sectors. It's hard to identify any real pain points, but I would like to see linking from Excel to another Excel file (not just from Excel to PowerPoint or Word) become possible. That would be extremely useful, as such links—when made without UpSlide—are still sensitive to file location and name changes. UpSlide has resolved several persistent issues in my professional life at the bank. Previously, when I worked in Marketing & Communications, we had a long-running internal project to build an automated tombstone database to present our investment banking deals in a consistent format with logos and key details. Because of the bank's long history of mergers, our tombstone requirements were extremely complex across different products, and that internal project never succeeded. For many years, we manually created tombstones in PowerPoint. Much later, after I moved to the business side, I had the chance to work closely with the UpSlide team, and they finally turned this tombstone database into reality. Multiple users from different teams and locations can now input tombstone data, and the UpSlide team managed to transform all that data into standardized tombstone formats meeting all our complex requirements. Now every UpSlide license holder has access to the full tombstone library across all products, countries, and sectors. You can search by year, client name, product features, and more. No need to ask around for updated tombstones before client or management presentations—everything is already there, centralized and consistent. After decades of manual production, this was and still is a huge relief.
