About Tenable Container Security

Tenable Container Security is a solution designed to protect containerized applications and cloud-native environments. It provides vulnerability scanning for container images, continuous monitoring of container registries and Kubernetes clusters, and helps identify misconfigurations and compliance gaps. Integrated with the Tenable One platform, it offers unified visibility and context across the entire attack surface, enabling security teams to prioritize risks effectively. The solution automates the discovery of container assets, detects vulnerabilities in images before deployment, and provides runtime protection. It also supports DevSecOps by integrating with CI/CD pipelines to shift left and prevent vulnerable containers from being deployed. With Tenable Container Security, organizations can reduce the risk of breaches in their cloud and containerized infrastructure while maintaining operational efficiency. AiDOOS enhances the deployment and adoption of Tenable Container Security by providing managed services and expert guidance, ensuring seamless integration into existing workflows and continuous optimization of container security posture.

Challenges It Solves

  • Container images often contain vulnerabilities that are missed by traditional security tools.
  • Misconfigured container environments and Kubernetes clusters create security gaps.
  • Security teams struggle to prioritize container security risks across the attack surface.
  • DevOps teams need security integrated into CI/CD pipelines without slowing down development.

"Good way to secure your containers"
Importing an existing registry is easy via the connector function. However, it requires communication through a specific port that cannot be changed. It's essential to carefully read the specs before implementation and design an architecture that fits these requirements for evaluation – they can help. It would be better if you could change the port to meet client needs.

"Enables secure container deployment and management"
The single dashboard with other tenable results feeding into Archer for tracking was challenging. It's important to establish baseline requirements in advance and create an inventory of secure containers for developers to choose from.

"Good"
Compatibility is good; we can easily integrate it into our service pipeline for automated tests. There needs to be more transparency about the full security testing automation.

"Tenable.io is the awesome container security solution you need"
If you don't want the hard way and you're a devsecops professional, try it – tenable.io gives you clear visibility into your containers and security data from a single dashboard. Great job by tenable.io. It's pricey, but the UI and features make it worth it. Remember, one man said, 'if good architecture is expensive, try bad architecture' – that's a thought. Overall, tenable is great, and you should definitely integrate it into your pipelines as a devsecops engineer. I had container security issues, tried tenable.io, and it solved everything.

"Tenable.io is an all-in-one solution"
The Tenable.io platform has been fantastic for our organization – all our documents are safe on the cloud with no downtime and high reliability. Data handling is complicated, and setup management is also complex, so it's hard for newcomers, especially in the beginning. We pulled data from SAP tables into a GCP bucket and built a pipeline. It feels like a one-stop solution. The graphical UI makes configuration straightforward, and most services are preconfigured; uptime is steady and reliable, and we've scaled our developments quickly.

"Complete security for my daily cloud app needs"
Setup is easy, and its vulnerability scanning is among the best I've seen. The ability to integrate with third-party services and plugins is a big plus. But despite the great features, the dashboard isn't very intuitive. Pricing for each module and the initial subscription are quite high. If you're an enterprise doing well, this is worth it. We're a startup looking for robust security for our products, and tenable.io had everything we needed.

"Security solutions review"
Tenable.io is key for security, especially since our data is well protected. It's also very user-friendly and has a helpful team. However, some features like the dashboard are hard to grasp, and reaching support takes a while, so we have to wait longer for help. I tell my colleagues about tenable.io for expert advice and easy setup. After using it for a while, I see it as a solid security platform. We don't need to go anywhere to scan our documents – we find the option on the dashboard, so our data remains secure.

"Excellent solution for container security needs, highly recommended"
Deployment is easy with assets, and it benchmarks against recognized best practices well. It always provides clear explanations of vulnerabilities and detection methods. Some functions are tricky to reach, requiring you to navigate between interfaces. Scanning uses up resources quickly. If you want great, actionable insights into your whole infrastructure's security risk, with easy setup and advanced reporting and scanning options, tenable.io is a prime choice. Having PCI compliance reports and summaries is a useful feature in my case. The integration between the internal network scanner and cloud portal is also great for a unified view of scans and results.

"Top-notch security for container-based apps"
Given how common containers are and the security risks we face, protecting containerized applications is crucial these days. Tenable.io handles this for us and is simple enough for entry-level staff. Many features target large enterprises and don't fully address the needs of small and medium businesses. Also, the pricing is steep as each feature adds cost. Not everyone can afford it, so they should consider offering a package for SMBs. If you're an expanding enterprise focusing on cloud technologies, tenable.io is essential given the rising cyber threats. It integrates smoothly with all major cloud platforms, and the support team is top-notch and quick to assist with implementation and integration.

"Essential tool for modern cloud apps"
I really appreciate how well it handles web applications and container scanning. The reports were thorough and matched the vulnerabilities I was dealing with, which was a big help. However, while I value the detailed reports, that's also what I found lacking. There's no way to generate customized reports or focus on specific modules of my application. If your company has the budget, I'd recommend giving it a shot, but first, take a demo since some features might not meet your expectations or could even be better than anticipated. I primarily used it for reporting and securing my projects. It's very user-friendly, and our clients were happy with it during testing. I'm planning to explore more of its capabilities down the road.
