"Engaging classroom tool that works seamlessly with Google Slides"
As a teacher, I find Slido has useful features like whole-class quizzes that provide instant responses to students. I've used four features, including the word cloud, which was particularly effective in junior classes. In summary, I've tried four different features in my classroom, and it works nearly seamlessly with Google Slides. Slido is a simple add-on for Google Slides. However, sometimes when I change a question or make modifications like updating a Q&A, the change doesn't reflect during the presentation. The workaround is to delete the question and recreate it, which usually solves the issue, but it would be great if this could be improved. As an educator, I often present to large audiences or groups of students and aim to make sessions as interactive as possible. With Slido, students stay engaged and are less likely to get distracted by phones or chatting; instead, they focus on the screen and try to answer questions. It also gamifies the experience when the teacher adds time limits, making it even more interesting.

"Outstanding Q&A upvoting and moderation with a clean mobile interface"
The Q&A upvoting and moderation queue is our favorite feature. It allows employees to ask sensitive questions anonymously while preventing dominant voices from controlling town halls. I also like the clean participant view on mobile devices. The analytics export is somewhat basic and needs manual cleanup in Excel before sharing with leadership. The user limits on lower-tier plans can be restrictive during company-wide meetings. The event link expires too quickly for those who watch recordings later. It solves the problem of silent audiences and post-meeting email clutter by capturing questions in real-time during sessions. The anonymity option has significantly increased honest feedback from junior staff on sensitive topics. It also eliminates the need to manually tally Post-it notes after workshops.
"A platform that drives meeting engagement"
It lets participants ask questions anonymously, helping them keep up with the pace of explanations. The overview is very useful for understanding the engagement level of my audience during meetings. It provides excellent downloadable analytics and online graphical reports, giving participants a chance to engage with organizational activities. Slido is a core revenue generator for the organization, and I don't see any downsides. It's easy to ask questions anonymously, and the availability of downloadable analytics and online reports enhances the experience.
"Achieve great results effortlessly with an excellent UI and real-time QR-based feedback"
It's very easy to get good results with minimal effort. The user interface is top-notch and clearly displays the various interaction options. The presentation mode using QR codes works in real-time with audiences on mobile phones. I really appreciate that the free tier supports larger audiences, allowing for testing real functionality. This sets Slido apart from competitors. It could offer more ways to display results, such as pie charts or donut charts. Integration with other Office suites like OpenOffice or LibreOffice would be nice. It enables creating interactive quizzes and more dynamic presentations. It also allows collecting direct data during presentations.
"Makes interactive presentations easy and powerful"
I enjoy using Slido because it creates an interactivity with the audience that everyone loves. It gives me direct insight into what the audience understands and thinks. The interactive features are amazing, allowing me to establish a baseline by having the audience vote during the presentation, and seeing the results on slides is impressive. Setup is straightforward; I install the PowerPoint add-in, connect with my browser and account seamlessly, and see templates and voting results directly in my slides. It's been a wonderful experience, and the audience loves it. I'd love to see Slido integrated with Canva, and their pricing model needs adjustment. Additionally, I wish it had more quiz features, similar to Quizlet, beyond just voting and interaction. It would be great to run quizzes inside PowerPoint and share results and correct answers with participants via email after the lecture. I use Slido to create interactivity with the audience during presentations, helping them engage and appreciate the creativity of the session. It provides direct insights into audience understanding and opinions, enhancing the overall interactive experience.

"Incredibly user-friendly; perfect for quizzes, competitions, and L&D activities"
I love how Slido integrates smoothly with platforms like Zoom and Microsoft Teams, making virtual event engagement simpler. The improved analytics dashboard offers valuable insights into audience participation, and the expanded branding options give a more professional appearance. The new interactive polls and quizzes add fun to participation. These updates significantly enhance the experience for both hosts and attendees. While Slido is effective, it could improve by increasing customization, expanding integrations, and offering better analytics. Adding offline functionality, enhancing the mobile experience, and introducing gamification would boost participation. Better multilingual support and more poll options could also drive engagement. These improvements could further elevate Slido. Engagement became effortless. It made a great impression on everyone quickly. Editing and preparing quizzes is super easy. The leaderboard simplifies announcing winners. AI helps generate ready-made quizzes. It's versatile for multiple purposes.
"Simple interactive polls and Q&A, but limited compliance controls and in-depth analytics"
Slido's greatest strength is transforming passive experiences into interactive ones. With live polls, Q&A, quizzes, and word clouds, participation becomes effortless in any setting—meetings, training, or large events. It boosts participation rates even when people are hesitant to engage. Another plus is its ease of use and integration with tools like PowerPoint and Webex. You can set up interactions quickly, and participants don't need to download anything, which removes barriers. However, Slido may be too limited for regulated industries like healthtech or fintech. For sessions involving patient or finance operations, we might need more sophisticated data management, control over anonymity settings, and other compliance features. The tool also lacks flexibility and depth in analytics. While the analytics are useful overall, they don't provide the detail needed to analyze participant behavior in depth. Slido addresses low engagement and lack of feedback when active participation is crucial. Healthtech and fintech companies conduct training sessions, compliance briefings, and product demos; even though participants pay attention, they don't interact much. Slido encourages interaction through polls, Q&A, and anonymous feedback, allowing users to share opinions freely, even on sensitive topics. The main advantage is facilitating interaction and providing valuable feedback. We can easily gauge comprehension in training sessions (regulatory updates, workflow changes) and receive additional comments that might otherwise go unasked. Overall, Slido turns monologues into dialogues, resulting in better understanding and more informed decisions.

"Effortless QR code icebreakers with live visual feedback"
This tool is fantastic for adding an icebreaker to meetings or training. It's interactive and incredibly smooth to join and participate. Once set up, attendees just scan a QR code to join quickly, without needing technical skills. It integrates well with PowerPoint, Google Slides, and Microsoft Teams. The highlight for me is seeing live visual metrics as people join and respond. However, pricing is a bit steep if you only use it occasionally. The Basic Plan allows some customization, but if you want to maintain your own branding, it can feel restrictive. Keeping our team engaged during monthly meetings, which can become monotonous, is easier when I incorporate an interactive poll via Slido. It lifts the mood, especially for those who are mostly listeners.
"The perfect tool for presenting and interacting with students effortlessly"
Slido simplifies sharing educational content with my students by offering various interaction methods that make every meeting more engaging. You can present material, pose questions with pre-made templates, share data and ratings, and even conduct on-the-spot quizzes. Its dashboard is extremely user-friendly, with intuitive features that even beginners can navigate. Plus, it's affordable at under $15 per month, which is much cheaper than competitors. What I dislike is that the free plan lacks many features, and the Professional Plan is pricey. Also, integrations with video are lacking—I can't record presentations for personal records, which is odd. It seems expensive for enterprises and educational institutions. As an educator, I'd like LMS integration to keep sessions private, secure, and recordable. Nevertheless, it's great for interacting with audiences during content presentation, making it easy to run surveys, ask multiple-choice questions, display data, and test students instantly.
"People engage actively instead of just passively watching the training"
During my training sessions, I rely on Slido to encourage participation without disrupting the flow. I insert a quick poll between segments or a quiz to gauge comprehension. The Q&A feature is especially handy because attendees can submit questions from their devices rather than waiting for a designated Q&A period. Instant results allow me to tweak the session when certain parts aren't clear. Some of the more complex options require a learning curve. Additionally, preparing numerous interactions for extended training needs prior planning. Reusable templates for recurring programs would be beneficial. Traditional training can be quite one-sided; previously, I depended on verbal responses to see if the content was resonating. Slido offers everyone a simple way to respond, and the live results provide immediate feedback instead of waiting days for a survey.
