"Effective Data Insights with Room for Growth"
I use SAP Analytics Cloud to build and distribute dashboards across teams, and I find it user-friendly for these purposes. I especially like its strong integration with SAP DSP, as it allows me to efficiently create a pipeline between DSP and SAP Analytics Cloud to leverage DSP data models. The Data Analyzer feature is another highlight, providing a detailed view of raw data with filtering capabilities for granular analysis, which helps in asking stakeholders the right questions. The ability to use DSP models directly in SAP Analytics Cloud is advantageous for generating quick insights on top of the models. However, I find the limited number of functions when creating calculated measures or columns in a story frustrating. This limitation increases reliance on DSP models for changes. Adding more functions and flexibility for coding calculations, similar to DAX in PowerBI, would be helpful. I use SAP Analytics Cloud to create dashboards and share them with different teams. It resolves the issue of connecting with DSP data models, enabling efficient pipelines. The Data Analyzer offers a detailed view of raw data, aiding in asking stakeholders the right questions.

"Centralizes Analytics with Smooth Integration"
I primarily use SAP Analytics Cloud for dashboard creation and planning/forecasting workflows in finance and operations. It addresses data fragmentation by consolidating inputs from various backend systems into a single source of truth for dashboards and reports. What I appreciate most is its integration of BI, planning, and predictive analytics into one platform, which simplifies the overall architecture. This removes the need to transfer data between separate tools and reduces latency. The initial setup was straightforward, with prebuilt integrations making the process easier. However, I encounter performance issues with large datasets or complex models. It would be beneficial if engineers had greater control over data modeling and execution, such as better indexing, partitioning options, and visibility into query plans for optimization. While the initial setup with prebuilt integrations is simple, it becomes more complicated with non-SAP systems or advanced planning models, requiring careful data modeling, security configurations, and performance tuning. SAP Analytics Cloud is used to solve data fragmentation by unifying inputs into a single source for dashboards. It combines BI, planning, and predictive analytics, eliminating data movement between tools and minimizing latency.
"Comprehensive Analytics and Planning Solution"
The best part of SAP Analytics Cloud is its unification of reporting, planning, and analytics in a single tool. The real-time connectivity with SAP data sources is highly convenient, and the dashboards are interactive and easily customizable. It transforms complex data into clear insights without requiring heavy technical skills. However, it can be quite overwhelming for new users, especially during initial setup and onboarding. Performance may also degrade with large datasets, making analysis less fluid. Additionally, advanced features come with a learning curve before they can be used proficiently. SAP Analytics Cloud resolves the issue of dispersed reporting and manual planning by consolidating analytics, reporting, and forecasting into one solution. This helps in saving time, reducing errors, and making quicker, data-driven decisions with real-time and visual insights.
