"AI assistance that makes things super easy"
It simplifies analyzing documents without any heavy lift. The monthly subscription is a bit pricey for small organizations like ours. I need a tool that does the job perfectly and helps an organization use reliable and trustworthy AI. The results from prompting and various uses are pretty great.

"Watson Discovery: a novel technological solution"
It's flexible in accepting any kind of unstructured data, processes it quickly, and offers many customization options. I think it's a great tool, but a bit of extra help would be nice, like being able to adjust the degree of randomness. It provides a platform for inserting all types of data without worrying about format conversion... it's really cool to use as a primary enterprise-level tool.

"Simplifying work considerably."
The content analysis feature discovers interesting data and relationships. However, there's a steep learning curve. Ease of use is acceptable but could be improved. We have hundreds of thousands of customer applications for various issues. Instead of reading and categorizing them manually, we can save a lot of time through analysis.

"A great experience with the product"
IBM Watson Discovery is an AI-driven search and content analysis platform. Key features include advanced NLP for understanding unstructured data, robust ingestion, powerful search, cognitive insights that spot patterns, integration with other Watson services, and developer-friendly APIs/SDKs. Users value these for enhancing data analysis and extracting insights from large volumes of structured and unstructured data. Like any software, it has limitations: setup complexity requires technical expertise, there's a learning curve, customization and training of AI models can be challenging, pricing varies, and integration may be tricky. These depend on individual needs. Despite these, it's considered a valuable tool for search and insight extraction. It helped my research significantly, allowed customization, and boosted my overall performance.

"Fast and simple search and insights from large databases"
IBM Watson Discovery offers cutting-edge technology to search and obtain analytical insights from large databases in no time. Its ability to process natural language and extract analytics from unstructured documents is its best feature. However, it starts throwing errors when I send multiple queries at once—that's the only issue I've encountered. It's been extremely helpful for my R&D work, providing quick answers. The chatbots built with its NLP technology have also benefited our business, allowing us to automate our customer care workflows to some extent.

"Used alongside Watson Assistant to connect conversational AI to knowledge base"
It's easy to use and connect to documents, and its natural language processing (NLP) capabilities are strong. Watson Discovery uses NLP to pull insights from unstructured data like text documents, emails, and social media posts, helping identify trends, patterns, and relationships that traditional methods might miss. I don't have major complaints, but there are some drawbacks to consider: it can be costly—it's a cloud service with monthly fees that vary based on storage and user count. Unstructured data poses challenges due to lack of organization, but Watson Discovery helps analyze it, uncovering insights that would otherwise be hard to find.

"Adequate tool for analyzing text data"
- Reads from various sources like HTML, docs, and PDFs - Provides a no-code web interface for experimentation - Offers straightforward SDKs for integrating Watson APIs into code - Fairly expensive. With open-source models achieving decent performance for similar tasks, it's unclear why one would pay for this. - Non-technical users might not see beyond basics like sentiment and entities. Methods like RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) can leverage LLMs in existing workflows. For instance, organizing unstructured text and querying it for insights—IBM Watson Discovery serves as a playground to gauge potential improvements with LLM integration.

"IBM Watson made gaining insights simpler."
It's highly user-friendly and uses NLP to deliver insights; you just provide data, which can also be instructed, and it analyzes and gives valuable insights, saving a lot of time. Overall, it's an ideal solution for data analysis. The experience is quite good, but they should include AI models to extract data that isn't provided. Through natural language processing, IBM Watson helps users extract valuable information from input data, assisting our research team in generating insight reports quickly and enabling efficient data analytics.

"An in-depth look at IBM Watson: is it worth it?"
Implementing this tool involved extensive research. Multiple cross-functional teams conducted thorough evaluations to ensure it was well-utilized and accepted. The IBM DB2 engine, a relational database management system, can handle all your data needs. Monitoring usage is vital because unpaid users might fall behind on allocated compute time. The runtime should be paused when idle to conserve system resources. The basic plan should offer more features for those who can't afford the full package. Thank goodness we can use this incredible device! I suggest this to companies with robust technical teams keen on innovative data analysis. We're grateful to everyone who participated in this exploratory effort; their input shaped some of our most significant decisions about the data we collected.

"Unlocking data insights is effortless with IBM Watson Studio."
IBM Watson Studio simplifies deriving value from data by integrating the various stages of data analysis. These include data acquisition and cleaning, result communication, and deploying AI models. Created by IBM, this tool impressed us with how straightforward it was to share examples and information among team members. More emphasis could be placed on the IBM DSx Community; raising awareness about how data science can boost a company's skill set might lower entry barriers. We also noticed that many machine learning features in R's H2O package don't work well with Apache Spark, and documentation for using Spark for ML in R is lacking. Despite these issues, it's a fantastic tool we're glad to use. I'd recommend it to businesses with strong technical capabilities looking to explore data in novel ways. We're very pleased with the assistance we received on this initially experimental project, which led to some of our most important conclusions about our recursive data.
