I've been using Guidebook for the onsite app for a conference of around 500 executives, and it's been excellent. The backend is very user-friendly, so setting up and making quick changes is simple. Attendees found it easy to access and download, which is crucial with such a large group. Customer service is top-notch—friendly, helpful, and quick to respond. Overall, I'd recommend it for its reliability and usability. The only critique is that reporting and analytics could be improved. It doesn't offer as deep a look at user engagement as other apps I've used, and exporting full reports after the event can be clunky. Having Guidebook makes it much easier to keep attendees informed and updated. All the info in one place is great, and the ability to instantly make changes is fantastic—if there's a last-minute speaker, session, location change, etc., it's quick to update and reduces confusion on-site. It also saved us on printing costs since we uploaded a digital version of the conference magazine to the app instead of printing copies.

Guidebook's user-friendliness and visual appeal made it a standout at our Annual Conference. The interface and Builder are intuitive and straightforward, making editing and publishing a cinch. It consolidates all necessary info in one spot, which is super convenient. I particularly liked how customizable it was—we could match our branding, including colors, making the app feel cohesive with our theme. Linking our website and social media (like Instagram) within the app was a great way to keep participants engaged. Setup was effortless and we could align it perfectly with our brand and conference needs. Overall, Guidebook delivered a polished, easy-to-use, and aesthetically pleasing experience that was a hit with everyone. On the downside, the session upload feature had issues. I couldn't attach presenter details to sessions, so I had to create separate speaker profiles. It would be great if the upload allowed for presenter bios, photos, and more, linked directly from the session info. I also ran into problems fitting session details into the template, which caused errors during uploads. More templates for different event types would offer greater flexibility. The participant connect feature could be enhanced too, and there's no social wall for attendees to post in a visible timeline. Also, not being able to edit the upload template limited our customization options. Guidebook keeps all information centralized, simplifies editing and publishing, facilitates communication, and has an intuitive interface. It looks good and aligns with our brand, improving the conference experience.

The ability to view the complete agenda and network with attendees even before the event starts is invaluable. However, the cost is a major drawback for a small department within our university. As someone who plans events, I'd love to use Guidebook regularly, but the price is prohibitive. It offers a single platform that houses the agenda, content, and allows for real-time updates—exactly what we need.

Plus, old branded apps don't carry over to new ones, and previously downloaded apps still appear for users, which adds to the confusion. I use Guidebook to oversee conferences and large events, providing clear schedules and organization, showcasing sponsors, and giving franchisees easy access and management for attending events.

For our recent conference of about 2,000 attendees, we switched from Webex to Guidebook and it was a great move. It was affordable, easy to set up, and the support was fantastic—I got lots of help and communication while learning to populate our event app and improve the user experience. At this point, I have no real complaints. As I dig into more features, I might find areas for improvement, but for now, it's been solid. My advice is to start using Guidebook early to maximize its benefits. It provided both a guide and an app for our annual conference, making it easier for attendees to network, find sessions, and stay informed about important announcements.

Creating a fully branded app, webpage, and registration flow from zero is straightforward. However, better template options would be a game-changer. The basic components are there, but having preset templates for common use cases would save a lot of time. I primarily used it to build an engaged event community where people could interact and choose their sessions.

We rely on it for all major events and daily campus visits, providing extras like academic brochures, dining info, and session details, along with the schedule, parking, and campus maps—everything we once attached to emails. Honestly, there's nothing I currently dislike. Any issues I've had have either been solved already or could be with a plan upgrade. It solved the headache of last-minute changes to schedules, department lists, or session locations. Before, we had to finalize everything the night before because of external factors. Now, if someone drops out, we just log in and remove them instantly.

Having everything consolidated in one spot is a huge plus, especially when our students arrive in Ireland and need to access essential materials without hassle. The platform's organization is top-notch, which is critical for our students to grasp the handbook easily. On the flip side, I've noticed the mobile and desktop versions don't align perfectly. On a laptop, the content appears tiny and hard to engage with, and scrolling feels awkward due to the layout. Improving the consistency and size of content across devices would greatly enhance the user experience. My primary use is to house all key student info in a single, easy-to-navigate platform.

This tool has really assisted me in getting through events and has cut down on my stress. There's nothing I can point to as a downside. The best part is that everyone can tailor it to fit their own preferences. It's been instrumental in sharing graduation info with students and their families, clearing up any confusion.
