We've been using GAT+ and GAT Shield for nearly a year, and in that time, we've significantly improved the management and audit capabilities of our Google Workspace domains. Drive management offers extensive functionality without relying on scripts, and delegating limited actions to specific individuals is very handy. With GAT Shield, we've taken our Chromebook deployment further through automation, auditing, and enhanced user security. A quick note: the team is extremely helpful, friendly, and quick to respond. It's hard to find anything I dislike. Perhaps GAT Flow could offer more granular delegation options to further restrict access for basic-level support. I rely on automatic usage and security reports, drive audits and transfers, Chrome audits and security, and automated actions triggered by events.

GAT Labs offers a robust and well-designed suite for managing a school's domain effectively and efficiently. In our country, hiring a large IT team isn't feasible. With GAT Labs, we can achieve greater impact in digital management and security as a small team. Their support is fantastic, and tools like GAT Teacher Assist have transformed how our teachers work. I've often been uncertain about the difference between GAT and GAM and where their functionalities diverge. Honestly, since adopting GAT, I've stopped thinking about GAM altogether. However, there might be a branding consideration to address there. Just a thought. The data loss prevention aspects are critical to us, as they help us understand who has access to our content.

GAT has delivered smooth workflows that allow us to efficiently manage accounts and data. The customizable automated reporting keeps us informed about specific situations and helps us make sound decisions. Customer support has been consistently reliable throughout our subscription. From my experience with other tools, support often wanes after the sales phase, but that hasn't been the case with GAT. They periodically check in to offer personalized training, and in this era of AI, it's refreshing to have human interaction when learning a product. I'm satisfied with both the product and the service. It has been instrumental in monitoring file permissions and account security.

I appreciate the visual appeal, UI, and overall feel of GAT+. It seems capable of handling complex operations in batch. Connecting to Google Workspace is quick. We subscribed to GAT+ to address security worries around file sharing in our company. What we hoped would save us from manually adjusting permissions on each file quickly turned into a flawed system costing us $900 monthly. We encountered what we initially thought was a "UI bug" affecting an "edge case," requiring constant support intervention to process our queue. The problem stemmed from "flooding" the queue with requests—but over time, we realized it wasn't a UI issue; tasks simply weren't executing. Each time support intervened, tasks would run a few (1-5) steps and then stall. We've been stuck on a queue of over 300 tasks for two months. Our drive data shows that from 9/4/24 to 10/21/24, there were minimal changes. Initially, externally shared files to specific users decreased, but as we continued using the software and processed more tasks, those numbers rose again. The preliminary report justifying the purchase went well, but subsequent reports made it look like the software was counterproductive. A major drawback: as an admin, you cannot cancel, stop, or remove items from the queue. So we're left with a backlog of 300+ tasks still pending. No new tasks can complete, and I can't clear the queue or follow best practices. I essentially have to monitor the tool and email GAT+ support whenever it pauses for too long. This is inefficient for promptly revoking access for ex-employees and ex-contractors from our Google Drive, which was the very purpose we bought it for.

As a teacher committed to a fully digital classroom, I can attest that one of the biggest hurdles is keeping students safe, focused, and honest in their work. The GAT Labs products I've used have alleviated any worries I had about appropriate use of digital resources. I'm confident in assigning any task, including tests, without fretting over distractions or cheating. With GAT Labs' continuous improvements, there's nothing to dislike. The team responds to questions and suggestions quickly and consistently makes excellent products even better. I'm a high school teacher who has moved my entire curriculum online. GAT Labs' tools allow me to track and control student internet activity, ensuring they stay on task and avoid engaging in academic misconduct.

Having supported Google Workspace across multiple organizations for years, I was thrilled to use tools like GAT+ and GAT Flow, which have automated a lot of the tedious manual work I remember. GAT feels like GAM but with a polished interface and superior technical support. Need to deactivate 1,500 dormant accounts? Easily done—use a regex in GAT to filter accounts, then push them to GAT Flow for archiving, all in about five minutes. GAT's multi-tenant support is fantastic for testing workflows in a sandbox before rolling them out to production. Tired of pulling user and log data into spreadsheets for analysis? Need custom variables to steer workflow logic? No problem—GAT handles it. As for customer service, it's prompt, polite, and professional. It's all been positive; I've found nothing to complain about. But if that ever changes, I'll be back to share my thoughts. It's been instrumental in automating workflows, cutting manual steps, and reducing scripting dependencies.

As a Google-centric school providing each student with a Chromebook, GAT+ acts as a vital extension of Google Workspace. We employ GAT+, GAT Shield, GAT Flow, and Teacher Assist, and each has become essential to our operations. As long as we remain a Google school, GAT+ will be part of our toolkit. The user support is exceptional, and while the products can occasionally be complex, they perform effectively and are an indispensable addition to Workspace. GAT+ offers features not available natively in Workspace, making management of content far more straightforward. The steady rollout of enhancements ensures the tools keep improving. For us administrators, it's a daily necessity we can't do without. Workspace is intricate and sometimes hard to navigate, and GAT+ can also be complex, but it bridges many gaps by providing access to commonly needed data that Workspace lacks. GAT Shield extends Chromebook capabilities with robust content policies, and for our school, Teacher Assist is invaluable for educators monitoring student activity. GAT Flow automates numerous jobs that would otherwise demand manual effort.

What I value most about GAT Labs is its automation, which takes manual tasks and transforms them into streamlined training and security operations. It's remarkable how it can automatically invalidate sessions, deactivate user accounts, and manage various security tasks. Getting everything set up was simple, thanks to clear documentation and a responsive team. That said, the reporting functionality isn't stellar and has room for improvement. I'd also like to see the API launched soon. In my day-to-day, I use GAT Labs for auditing, compliance, and security within Google Workspace. It handles complex security workflows automatically, offers control over threats, strengthens data compliance, and delivers visibility for client-facing reports.

GAT+ offers a unified, searchable interface for tracking user actions, file and external sharing, access rights, and tenant setup, complete with reports that are ready to export. Since we oversee Google Workspace for clients in regulated sectors, this is precisely what we require to generate evidence quickly and identify configuration changes before an audit occurs. Setting it up was fast, and the support team has been very helpful. It would be advantageous if they achieved FedRAMP certification. We rely on GAT+ for auditing activities, monitoring data access and external sharing, securing user onboarding and offboarding, and creating audit-ready reports across our clients' Workspace environments.
