Using it as a mirror alternative to AWS WAF for our China-based accounts, we gain significant value with minimal manual effort and comprehensive security coverage for our internal and external applications. The signature-based detection and advanced bot protection are particularly noteworthy. Synthetic testing and Fabric Connector options position Forti's AppSec as a leader. Implementation, usage, and configuration are straightforward, and seamless integration with cloud marketplaces like AWS and Azure is a plus. However, like any software, initial setup can be confusing due to the overwhelming array of useful but complex features. Reporting is somewhat limited, which became apparent during training and hasn't improved since. Since AWS WAF is unavailable in mainland China, we rely on Forti products to secure our applications. Its availability on AWS/Azure marketplaces initially led us to choose it, and it continues to impress by safeguarding our products from almost all attacks. With its powerful and versatile features, it addresses all our firewall needs, not just for applications but also for DNS, ELBs, and other API security requirements within our hybrid security strategy.
