I'd also like a scatterplot feature, though that might be a PowerPoint limitation. Finally, I'd like to know who's answering in the room versus remote to spot any concerns. I teach dense research methods to a large class of 120 students who don't see its relevance. I needed frequent perception checks, assessments, and attendance incentives. Echo handles all these. Some questions bring humor while testing comprehension; others are intentionally hard, but the quiz reveals meaningful differences. Echo360 simplifies video creation both with and without the desktop app. The Browser Based Capture mirrors the desktop functionality without requiring downloads. A key highlight is the clear side-by-side recording: one window for the screen share and another for the webcam, which is ideal for presentations. The built-in editor is basic but sufficient for quick edits. My main criticism is the licensing model, which charges per active user per year, even if someone logs in only once. Although it's a minor issue, I've found little else to dislike. Besides video, Echo360 supports simple polling within presentations, fostering active learning.

The ease of use and streamlined implementation are commendable. However, the platform has limited features and is difficult to integrate with other systems. Managing classrooms and business needs is challenging.

Echo360 elegantly merges real-time interaction with video content and lecture recording. It's highly satisfying overall, and there are no downsides to this investment. I use it for producing engaging material, including polls and quizzes, and the detailed analytics are a strong bonus.

The reliability and the attentiveness of the support staff are standout. I've noticed occasional slowness from the service and a few intuitive features are absent. Sharing recordings with specific individuals is straightforward, no longer requiring whole-class sharing. The collections feature is particularly useful.

No significant changes in features, still valuable and I'll keep using it until a better option appears. Integration with AI - I'm leveraging an LLM to generate additional feedback and wish I could dictate comments directly into GoReact. Partner with your institution's IT to simplify training; it requires time. The ability to comment and review videos for student teachers without relying on Word docs and YouTube is great. I've also been able to cut down on many meetings thanks to this software.

I appreciate that Echo360 provides unlimited video storage, so I never worry about space, and we can keep over a decade of recordings if necessary. I also value the accessibility features and how the hardware ensures a uniform experience across our classroom technology package. Another plus is the viewing analytics that instructors find useful. The .csv imports are extremely handy because they allow fast bulk uploads without needing API knowledge, saving me considerable time. However, the platform's layout can be confusing for users, with multiple ways to organize and share videos and unclear terminology. The video player feels outdated and frustrating, and basic features like playlist editing are missing. Mobile apps definitely need significant improvements. Sometimes it seems Echo360 had great ideas but didn't fully implement them and then lost focus on promised enhancements. From an admin perspective, the UI has frustrating quirks, such as slow or inaccurate search and the inability to open captures in separate tabs. Overall, the admin experience is sluggish and the interface choices are hard to navigate. There's also limited permission customization for user roles. In summary, Echo360 offers a consistent classroom tech experience, unlimited video storage, and easy CSV imports for bulk operations, plus long-term video retention and valued analytics.

I appreciate that Echo360 consolidates key functions such as lecture recording, captioning, accessibility tools, content distribution, student participation, and basic quizzes into one system. This integrated approach simplifies things for instructors and learners alike, cutting down on the need to switch between different platforms. The way Echo360 merges lecture capture, captions, and engagement tools in a single solution is particularly beneficial from both support and teaching perspectives. For educators, it lowers the entry barrier because once they're familiar with the system, they can leverage multiple capabilities without adopting and managing separate applications. This eases course planning and execution. As an admin, this consolidation also streamlines training and assistance, letting me concentrate on helping instructors maximize one tool. Moreover, Echo360's exceptional support during initial implementation and beyond, including on-site training and periodic workshops, has been extremely helpful. Their team consistently helps me resolve issues I couldn't figure out on my own. I also like the gradebook synchronization between Echo360 and Brightspace D2L, which is a great touch. While Echo360 provides a robust feature set, there's room for improvement, especially on the administrative and reporting side. A notable challenge is the absence of a comprehensive dashboard for admins to easily track contract usage. Perhaps they could introduce a 'Super Administrator' role so only designated individuals can access usage and reporting metrics. Having such data more readily available would help us make better decisions and allocate resources more efficiently. Echo360 addresses course delivery challenges by offering integrated lecture capture, interactive engagement features, and accessibility tools in one platform. It simplifies course design and delivery, making it easier for instructors to incorporate video and assessments without managing multiple tools.
