It blocks all spam emails and prevents phishing emails from coming through. It also sends timely reminders about pending emails. I'd like it to automatically block repetitive emails from cluttering my Darktrace inbox, saving users time. I've seen emails from similar IDs of genuine people, so blocking those at the base would be helpful. As a large business, we rely on Darktrace to filter unwanted emails and prevent malware from entering our systems, saving time and protecting our infrastructure.

The integration with our environment was incredibly smooth. The service excels at capturing malicious attempts against our organization, and the admin interface provides a clear overview. It's hard to find faults with the service. We received good support and high availability. The price is on the higher end, but we believe we get excellent value from this investment. Darktrace mitigates the majority of phishing attempts without disrupting legitimate communications, resulting in clean and safe inboxes for our users.

The UI is very user-friendly and visually appealing, with AI integration that works seamlessly. It's quite affordable while delivering high performance, though customer support could be faster and the AI features could be more extensive. Otherwise, it works well. Initial alert noise requires significant tuning to suppress false positives. High cost is a common criticism, creating budget barriers for smaller organizations. Complex implementation demands specialized skills and a steep learning curve. As noted on Reddit, opinions are mixed; some professionals report that behavioral anomaly detection struggles with slow, deliberate lateral movements or 'Living-off-the-Land' tools that mimic normal admin behavior.

This product is both highly capable and boasts a clean, easy-to-navigate UI. Performance is outstanding, especially when handling large volumes of emails or campaigns. Onboarding was simple, and integrating with our existing email stack, primarily Microsoft, was very straightforward. However, we don't find much value in the post-login dashboard pages, which feature large charts without click-through and limited visual impact. It's a strong but pricey product. It does an excellent job of filtering and blocking malicious messages or elements before they reach our inboxes. Tuning is quick, and remediating false positives is very easy.

Darktrace/Email effectively secures our 'front gate,' stopping nearly all phishing attempts we've faced. The customizability is excellent, allowing us to build and adjust models as needed. Tuning models appropriately gave us high confidence that attacks would be blocked. The account team was decent, and integration was easy since all models were pre-built. As a small team, managing the models and detections felt like it required a full-time SOC. Although the account team was mostly helpful, they weren't very proactive until renewal time, especially regarding model tuning. We also spent a considerable amount of time releasing held emails. Overall, Darktrace/Email secures our 'front gate,' preventing nearly all phishing attacks with customizable models we can tweak as needed.

The interface is easy to learn, and a few screenshots genuinely help justify the cost during budgeting. Navigation is straightforward. Onboarding was quick and well-supported. We started in Review mode for a month, then enabled Respond. However, the ROI is lower than a dedicated email security SaaS. Being bundled isn't the most cost-effective. The Outlook integration works okay but isn't useful on the mobile Outlook or Apple Mail apps. History is limited to 30/90 days, and performance can be a bit sluggish. It does a decent job of filtering unwanted emails and highlighting potential phishing and impersonation attempts. The main benefit is attack visibility.

After the initial setup, it runs largely on its own; I rarely need to make adjustments. Rule creation is fairly straightforward, though it required some guidance from the Darktrace engineer. Integrating with Outlook was simple, but we seldom use the app. Blocking a specific domain isn't always intuitive; you can add it to a threat list, but hard blocking or blacklisting is more cumbersome. The admin interface is conventional and tabular, not particularly polished. Working in a small IT team with multiple responsibilities, I can't dedicate daily time to email security, so this tool with full automation covers that gap. The default AI is adequate for my needs and builds a solid user profile over time.

Moreover, Darktrace's evolution beyond email protection into areas like security awareness training is a seamless integration, linking real-world threats with user education rather than treating them as separate concerns. Overall, Darktrace Email has bolstered my confidence in our email security. While no solution is infallible, Darktrace adds a robust extra layer that frequently captures what would otherwise need manual intervention. From an admin perspective, it's a worthwhile investment. The main challenge is the sheer volume of information, particularly during the initial learning phase, and some alerts still demand manual verification to distinguish genuine threats from anomalies. I'd also appreciate more customizable reporting and dashboard options. These are minor issues, not deal-breakers, but areas for potential improvement. On the whole, the advantages far outweigh the drawbacks. As an IT professional, my primary concern is safeguarding users from phishing, malicious links, spoofed emails, and other email-related threats that could compromise accounts. Darktrace Email addresses this by automatically identifying suspicious messages and taking action preemptively. I've seen it hold emails, block links, and flag potentially harmful messages that otherwise would have required our IT team's manual effort. The biggest benefit is the reduced risk and time spent on threat response. Instead of constantly reacting to user-reported phishing, Darktrace proactively monitors email activity and provides detailed context on why a message is suspicious. This lets me focus on more strategic IT work while trusting that our email environment is under vigilant protection.
