Setup is easy, and the configuration is fully API-driven. In our case, there were no drawbacks. Cloudflare Zero Trust enables connectivity between multi-hub private networks over the internet in a SaaS way, which is easy to set up and get running.

Cloudflare seamlessly integrates performance, security, and visibility in one platform. The unified dashboard makes it incredibly easy to manage multiple services, from DNS and Zero Trust policies to DDoS protection and web traffic filtering. Some advanced configurations have a steep learning curve, especially when combining Zero Trust policies, Gateway rules, and Access applications. Documentation can be fragmented across products, making it hard to find end-to-end guidance for complex use cases. Cloudflare Network Services has helped us solve key challenges related to secure and reliable access to internet-facing and internal resources. We can protect against DDoS attacks and malicious traffic without on-premise appliances, accelerate application performance globally through their vast CDN and Anycast network, and gain visibility and control over network traffic.

Cloudflare One stands out as a comprehensive SASE solution that combines industry leadership with developer-friendly features. As a leader in Gartner and IDC reports, it offers enterprise-grade security without the typical complexity. The generous free tier supporting up to 50 users with full SASE capabilities is impressive—complete ZTNA, SWG, and CASB without artificial limitations. This removes the cost barrier for small teams and startups needing enterprise security. The developer experience is excellent, with comprehensive APIs and a programmable architecture similar to other Cloudflare services. The unified control plane manages security policies alongside application delivery, avoiding vendor switching. Performance is superb thanks to Cloudflare's massive network, with 95% of internet users within 50ms, minimal latency impact when routing through their security stack. The unified architecture runs the entire security stack on every point of presence across 300 cities, unlike competitors that stitch together acquired solutions. Technical capabilities include remote browser isolation, certificate-based mTLS for IoT devices, comprehensive logging with SIEM integration, and strong API security support for cloud-native architectures. The learning curve can be steep when transitioning from traditional network security to Zero Trust. While documentation is extensive, the platform's breadth requires time to understand optimal configuration. Developer productivity improved because security policies follow applications rather than requiring separate network configurations per environment, ensuring consistent security across development, staging, and production.

What stands out most is how Cloudflare acts as a gatekeeper. Their interface is user-friendly and straightforward. We haven't needed customer support at all, even with the firewall and security rules we've implemented. The caching and speed tests are nice extras. The main limitation is the free plan's constraints. Don't get me wrong, it's great as is, but I wish there were more features. Cloudflare's customer support isn't the best, but the community forums more than compensate. Definitely give it a try; you've got nothing to lose. Cloudflare serves as one of our first lines of defense. The free plan does a lot to protect our sites, including firewall rules, distributed network, and caching, and it protects against DDoS and bots better than we expected when we signed up.

Its easy integration with existing systems and cloud services, along with real-time monitoring and traffic management, makes it very effective for maintaining consistent performance and security. The platform is user-friendly, packed with features, and scalable, making administration easier for IT teams. However, pricing can be complicated for smaller businesses, and some advanced features require deeper technical expertise to implement fully. While documentation is thorough, there is still a slight learning curve for new users. Cloudflare SSE & SASE addresses critical network security and performance issues. It solves unsecured remote access, slow application performance, and exposure to cyber threats by providing a secure access service edge with zero-trust network access. The platform also ensures consistent policy enforcement across cloud and on-premises applications, reduces latency, and simplifies the management of multiple cloud services.

Because everything runs on Cloudflare's global network, users stay protected anywhere without experiencing slowdowns. One challenge is the initial complexity, especially when setting up advanced policies or integrating with other systems. Additionally, as some features are still evolving, documentation and support sometimes lag. Cloudflare SSE & SASE tackles secure access, data protection, and network performance issues. By offering Zero Trust access, a secure web gateway, and threat protection in one platform, it removes the need for traditional VPNs and multiple point solutions. For me, this means easier security management, user protection regardless of location, and enhanced speed and reliability.

This SASE platform merges cloud and security features into one cloud-based solution. The downside is that on-premises support isn't available, and being cloud-only means it depends fully on internet connectivity. For my application, Cloudflare One provides robust DDoS protection and integrates with identity providers to enable single sign-on for user authentication.

I appreciate how Cloudflare's SSE & SASE platform unifies multiple security and networking tools into a single system. It's particularly useful that everything operates on Cloudflare's global network, ensuring fast performance and consistent enforcement of security policies. Managing zero-trust access, secure web gateways, DNS filtering, and threat detection becomes much simpler from one dashboard. The main advantages are easier administration, comprehensive security coverage, lower latency, and scalability without needing extensive hardware or complicated setups. On the downside, some features still feel less mature compared to established competitors, and the dashboard can be confusing initially. Policy configuration sometimes requires more steps than expected, and certain advanced integrations or documentation could be more thorough. Cloudflare's SSE and SASE platform helps secure users, devices, and applications without relying on slow VPNs or cumbersome on-premises equipment. It consolidates Zero Trust access, web filtering, threat protection, and traffic inspection into one system, which has reduced the number of separate tools I need to manage. Since everything runs on Cloudflare's global network, remote and on-site users see better performance with consistent security policies. In summary, it simplifies operations, speeds up access, and boosts overall security.

I found Cloudflare One (SASE) very straightforward to use, especially when building a site with Claude AI. Setting up GA4 and Tag Manager was quite convenient, and I appreciate that a solid free tier is available. Buying a domain was a breeze through Cloudflare, and it enabled me to connect Google Analytics for real-time insights and more detailed user data. Linking Tag Manager was nearly instantaneous, making tag and tracking management excellent. The initial learning curve was manageable, even though the platform has a somewhat technical feel. Everything worked well overall. If I had to pick one minor issue, it might be that navigation within the platform and the tone of their newsletters are quite advanced, perhaps not ideal for newcomers to websites, marketing, or digital fields. Setting up Google Analytics and Tag Manager with Cloudflare One (SASE) was easy, providing immediate data without hassle. Integrations and domain purchases are simple, and the free version is quite generous.
