This is next-generation security with advanced multi-layered features. It eliminates the need to deploy other VPN gateways or services. It's fast and easy for end users to self-enroll. Occasionally, processing into the cloud takes a long time, and making emergency changes in the portal is difficult. Improving that would be very beneficial. It helps with cost management, continuous updates and maintenance, but there are some false positives and it is quite complex.

I found it to be very stable and secure, which was my main reason for choosing Barracuda SecureEdge. The platform is also highly scalable. Customer support was quick and helpful when I had questions. However, I notice it can slow down my user experience and isn't as fast as other software I've used. The user interface also took some time to get used to; it's not entirely confusing but not very intuitive either. I mainly use it to block ransomware on our website and purchasing pages to give customers peace of mind, and it also helps secure our clients' information.

Barracuda always outperformed us at Symantec because it was a comprehensive platform while our product set required purchasing multiple components to compete. The only drawback, at least when I used it, was the upfront hardware cost; I assume they offer it as a SaaS now, but that might undermine the purpose of having an on-site, non-cloud protection service. At the time, we used a sandbox to test Barracuda against what was then Symantec Protection Suite (now owned by Broadcom). It excelled at providing an all-in-one cloud protection solution.
